【摘要】:Thevaporpressureofasubstanceasdeterminedbymeasurementofevaporationreflectsapropertyofthebulksample.Littleweightisgivenbytheproceduretothepresenceoflowconcentrationsofvolatileimpurities.Vaporpressure,perse,isathermodynamicpropertythatisdependentonlyuponcompositionandtemperatureforstablesystems.Inthepresentmethod,compositionchangesoccurduringthecourseofthetestsothatthecontributionofminoramountsofvolatileimpuritiesisminimized.1.1ThistestmethodprovidesacalculationprocedureforconvertingdataobtainedbyTestMethodD972toapparentvaporpressuresandmolecularweights.Ithasbeendemonstratedtobeapplicabletopetroleum-basedandsyntheticesterlubricatingoils,attemperaturesof395to535K(250to500oF).However,itsapplicabilitytolubricatinggreaseshasnotbeenestablished.Note1--Mostlubricantsboiloverafairlywidetemperaturerange,afactrecognizedindiscussionoftheirvaporpressures.Forexample,theapparentvaporpressureovertherange0to0.1%evaporatedmaybeasmuchas100timesthatovertherange4.9to5.0%evaporated.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Incasesinwhichmaterials,products,orequipmentareavailableininch-poundunitsonly,SIunitsareomitted.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityorregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,see6.2,7.1,and8.2.
