【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverthedesignandconstructionofweldedsteeltanksoftheatmospherictypeintendedfortheauxiliarystorageandsupplyoffueloilforoilburners.Theyareforuseinthesupplypipingbetweenaburneranditsmainfuelsupplytank.ThesetanksareintendedforinstallationanduseinaccordancewiththeStandardoftheNationalFireProtectionAssociationfortheInstallationofOil-BurningEquipment,NFPANo.31.AnauxiliarytankequippedwithamechanismforcontrolofapumporotherwisecontrollingliquidlevelorforpreventingthespillageoffueloilfromatanknotrequiredtobeventedtotheoutsideofabuildingistobejudgedundertheStandardforPumpsforOil-BurningAppliances,UL343.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandard,andthatinvolvesariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisstandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.

【摘要】:Themajorcontributionofthispracticeisthatitenablesameasurementofthereal-timeenergylossorgainthroughachosensurfaceofanexistingprocessinsulationwithminimaldisturbancetotheheatfluxthroughtheinsulatingbody.Theprimaryuseofthispracticewillbeforthein-situestimationofthermaltransportpropertiesofindustrialinsulationsuchasusedonpipes,tanks,ovens,andboilers,operatingundernormalprocessconditions.Errorsattributabletoheatflowmeasurementsoverasmallareaorshorttermtestingcanbemisleadingandthispracticeisintendedtominimizesucherrors.InsulationprocesseswithlargetemperaturedifferencesacrosstheinsulationarebestsuitedtoHFTmeasurementsbecausemodestchangesinambientconditionshavebutminimaleffectsonHFToutput.WhileitwouldbeidealfortheHFTandattachmentsystemtohavezerothermalresistance,thisfactorisinsignificanttothemeasuredresultifkeptto5%orlessoftheresistanceoftheinsulatingsectionbeingtested.1.1Thispracticecoversthein-situmeasurementofheatfluxthroughindustrialthermalinsulationusingaheatfluxtransducer(HFT).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thispracticeestimatesthethermaltransportpropertiesofthermalinsulationmaterialsin-situinfieldapplicationsunderpseudosteady-stateconditions.ItisnotintendedthatthispracticeshouldbeusedasasubstituteformorepreciselaboratoryproceduressuchasTestMethodsC177,C335,orC518.1.4ThispracticeislimitedbytherelativelysmallareathatcanbecoveredbyanHFTandbythetransienteffectsofenvironmentalconditions.1.5TemperaturelimitationsshallbeasspecifiedbythemanufactureroftheHFT.1.6Whileaccuratevaluesofheatfluxarehighlydependentuponpropercalibrationsundertheconditionsofuse,itisacceptabletousethecalibrationsprovidedbythemanufactureroftheHFTforcomparativeworkbetweensimilarmaterials,aging,orotherconditionsofuse.Note18212;Furtherinformationmaybefoundintheliterature(1-6).1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
