【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscover,insingleprocedures,thedeterminationofNi,V,andFeincrudeoilsandresidualoils.ThesetestmethodscomplementTestMethodD1548,whichcoversonlythedeterminationofvanadium.Whenfuelsarecombusted,vanadiumpresentinthefuelcanformcorrosivecompounds.Thevalueofcrudeoilscanbedetermined,inpart,bytheconcentrationsofnickel,vanadium,andiron.Nickelandvanadium,presentattracelevelsinpetroleumfractions,candeactivatecatalystsduringprocessing.Thesetestmethodsprovideameansofdeterminingtheconcentrationsofnickel,vanadium,andiron.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofnickel,vanadium,andironincrudeoilsandresidualfuelsbyinductivelycoupledplasma(ICP)atomicemissionspectrometry.Twodifferenttestmethodsarepresented.1.2TestMethodA(Sectionsand)ICPisusedtoanalyzeasampledissolvedinanorganicsolvent.Thistestmethodusesoil-solublemetalsforcalibrationanddoesnotpurporttoquantitativelydetermineordetectinsolubleparticulates.1.3TestMethodB(Sections)ICPisusedtoanalyzeasamplethatisdecomposedwithacid.1.4Theconcentrationrangescoveredbythesetestmethodsaredeterminedbythesensitivityoftheinstruments,theamountofsampletakenforanalysis,andthedilutionvolume.Aspecificstatementisgivenin.Typically,thelowconcentrationlimitsareafewtenthsofamg/kg.PrecisiondataareprovidedfortheconcentrationrangesspecifiedinSection.1.5si-value;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
